Virtual YouTubers, or VTubers, arrived out of nowhere in 2020 and have since become a mainstay of streaming video thanks to their surge in popularity during the epidemic. In the field of VTubing, there are currently three major talent agencies: NIJISANJI, Hololive, and Vshojo.

With the opening of their Japanese branches, Vshojo, which is now lagging behind, is anticipated to grow to be particularly significant in terms of size and relevance. Since quite some time ago, NIJISANJI and Hololive have been the foundation of VTubing, and it doesn’t appear that they ever will be.

Viewers have been introduced to a number of VTubers this year who have experienced a rise in popularity. Some of them are from the “big three,” while others are independent and not connected to any businesses.
